Adding a professional email signature to Gmail is one of the easiest ways to make every email you send look polished and credible. Whether you are using Gmail on desktop or the mobile app, the process takes just a few minutes.
Step 1: Open Gmail Settings
Click the gear icon in the top right corner of Gmail, then click "See all settings." Navigate to the "General" tab and scroll down to the "Signature" section.
Step 2: Create a New Signature
Click "Create new" and give your signature a name. This is useful if you want to create different signatures for different purposes.
Step 3: Design Your Signature
Use our free email signature generator to design a professional signature, then copy and paste it into the Gmail signature editor.
Step 4: Set Signature Defaults
Choose which signature to use for new emails and for replies/forwards. You can set different signatures for each.
Step 5: Save Changes
Scroll to the bottom of the settings page and click "Save Changes." Your new signature will now appear on all outgoing emails.
Adding a Signature on Gmail Mobile
On the Gmail mobile app, tap the hamburger menu > Settings > select your account > Mobile Signature. Note that the mobile signature is separate from your desktop signature.
